BBC Pandemic gives you the opportunity to be part of a unique experiment that could save lives.nnWith this app, you can join in a ground-breaking nationwide citizen science experiment that will gather data to help researchers predict the spread of a deadly flu outbreak across the United Kingdom. But don’t worry, this will be a life-saving simulated pandemic.nnPlease select the National Outbreak. The Haslemere Outbreak is no longer active. nnThe app will track your approximate movement at regular intervals over a single 24 hour period - it will never know exactly where, or who you are. It will also ask a few questions to help researchers from the University of Cambridge and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine work out how a real flu pandemic might spread across the UK – and what could be done to stop it.nnParticipation in the study is entirely voluntary, and all data will be secured and grouped to ensure your anonymity.
